Drop by to talk to our volunteers about your family history journey and peruse our collections of books, maps and other resources. We recommend you also wander the park and stop by our partners at the Lynnwood-Alderwood Manor Heritage Association and the Northwest Veterans Museum.  Visit the City of Lynnwood Parks website to learn more details about Heritage Park.

Our monthly Genealogy Lab is a hands-on environment rather than a formal lecture. We encourage you to drop in with your laptops or devices to work on your specific projects in a casual, collaborative setting. While we will provide a specific "area of focus" each month to spark discussion, the primary goal is for us to help one another troubleshoot and learn in real time. We’ll have the kettle on for coffee and tea, so feel free to bring your favorite mug and join us for some practical, hands-on genealogy.

Start your week right with an online gathering of folks interested in genealogy and family history.  We share stories, (try) to answer one another's questions and generally just enjoy the conversation. Click here to join the meeting.

The Lynnwood-Alderwood Manor Heritage Association will be hosting their annual clean-up of Heritage Park and its buildings on Tuesday, April 7th. Volunteers will be weeding, re-barking the path, and doing some interior cleaning in some of the buildings. This year, the parks department also plans to lay gravel on part of the new path from Heritage Park to the new Salish Middle School. All ages and abilities are welcome to attend (youngsters must be accompanied and monitored by an adult). A potluck lunch will be provided.

This month, we invite you to discover your family’s history during a hands-on, collaborative workshop. We are stepping away from the traditional lecture format to create a space where community members work shoulder-to-shoulder to solve mysteries and uncover new leads. Whether you are looking to take a first step, a next step, or a big leap on your genealogy journey, this evening is designed for you.

This is an invitation to bring your laptop, tablet, or 3-ring binder and your curiosity to the table. Instead of a formal presentation, we will work in a peer-to-peer environment, sharing leads and helping one another navigate the unfinished narratives of our past. Whether you are looking for a specific missing record, curious if a relative served in the military, or just wondering how to organize your research tools, you’ll find a community ready to help.

Please note: This is an in-person workshop event; there is no online component for this month’s meeting.
